Brandie aligns with an integrative approach to therapy in consideration of the client's mind, body, and spirit. She has pursued further education and is a Certified Trauma Professional. She utilizes techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Somatic Therapy, and Cognitive Processing therapy. She enjoys working with adolescents and adults experiencing various issues and will do so from a spiritual or secular perspective, as the client requests, to improve their life, awareness, and skills. Trained in EMDR therapy, Brandie hopes to help individuals find relief from symptoms due to trauma. Brandie received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Liberty University and Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. She is supervised by G. Dennette Gardner, LPC-S.
Prior to her own academic pursuits, Brandie was a home educator. She was a homeschool teacher for her two children as well as an online ESL teacher for foreign students based in China. In her free time, she enjoys playing board games with her family, hiking, meditation, traveling and learning about spirituality/religious practices of various cultures.
