Welcome to my website! I am Dennette Gardner, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I provide counseling to individuals, couples and families. I offer in person or telehealth counseling services. The clinic is located at 325 N. Main Street in Belton, TX. We share the clinic with my husband, Dr. Charles Gardner, D.C. There are 2 signs which read Belton Chiropractic & Wellness and Gardner Counseling & Wellness, PLLC.
I am a graduate of Tarleton State University. I focus my counseling by specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness training, Hypnosis, Play Therapy, and Positive Psychology. Yo hablo Espanol, I am a fluent Spanish speaker and offer counseling to the Hispanic community. My philosophy is that all individuals are here to experience life in it's fullest. I consider my calling in life to be a caring guide to facilitate your personal journey to that state of happiness.
I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help my clients effectively address personal life challenges. With compassion and understanding, I try to work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
I have presented at local and state conferences speaking on the topics of Holistic Health: The Mind-body Connection, Positive Psychology & Happiness, Stress and Positive Education. I sat on the state Governing Board of the Texas Counseling Association as Region V Director for 6 years.
A Wellness Approach: As one part of a holistic approach clinic, we integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With increasing scientific proof of mind-body techniques for integration, our clinical services include: counseling, hypnosis, chiropractic, acupuncture, nutritional supplementation, light therapy, and sound therapy.
Membership: Mid-Texas Counseling Association, Texas Counseling Association, and the American Counseling Association. Education: B.A. degree from Baylor University, M.S. degree in Counseling Psychology from Tarleton State University.
